I have a confession to make.

I? Have never found Jonathon Rhys-Meyers attractive. Ever. Sure, he’s got a certain sexy-ugly quality about him, and he carries himself like a sex god, but… I dunno. Something about him bugged me, and I never understood what all the fuss was about.

Until now.

Last summer, we picked up this sampler DVD that had a couple episodes of this little Showtime show called The Tudors on it. I always meant to watch it, but hadn’t.

Heh. Well. We watched it this past weekend.

And it’s all I can think about.

Holy fuck but that’s a HOT show. THAT is why I love history. This show, this is Henry VIII. He’s cocky, he’s hot, he’s… he’s Henry. And no one could have pulled it off by JRM. When you first learn about Henry VIII in school, you hear about the scandals and the *gasp* sex and everything else… and then you see that very old portrait of a very rotund Henry, and you just. Don’t. Get it.

But watch this show, & you will. Wow. Hotness delivered right to your home!
